GOP Congressman wears Nazi SS uniform - so what?
 

So it turns out that the Republican running for Congress in Ohio's 9th District, Rich Iott, likes to pretend he's a Nazi SS guard on the weekends.

So what? Lots of people wear strange things. You should have seen what I wore during the seventies. The job of a Congressman is to represent Americans, not to be a paragon of fashion sense and style.

I mean, it's not like he's wearing Jihadi Chic!

And I'm sure that his love of goose-stepping around with SS gear has less to do with an urge to shove certain over-educated cosmopolitan elitists into gas chambers, and more to do with not knowing much about fashion.

Being a "history buff" is one thing. Don't you think dressing up as a Nazi is something totally different? I mean, there's a reason these people choose to re-enact wars...its because they don't like the way things turned out.

No, it's not different. The socialists in our society would love nothing more than for everyone to forget the horrors caused by German Nazional Socialism. But like 9/11 we must never forget the horrors caused by socialism.

Dressing up in a nazi costume is an heroic act because it teaches the younger generation what kind of America Obama is creating.

As for rehinactors people dresses up like Confederate Civil War soldiers, Indian Wars US Cavalrymen and American patriots during the Revolution. You don't see anyone accusing them of racism?

Correct me if I am wrong. (Being a female, this is often the case.) Weren't the SS guys sort of relegated to internal matters?

They weren't the ones on the Western front fighting our dear, American soldier boys, were they?

I thought that they were mostly paper pushers who organized stuff, train schedules and things like that, you know, harmless bureaucrats.

Why would dressing up like a bureaucrat cause so much rancor? I know that bureaucrats can be kind of odious, what with their rules and forms and filling out stuff in triplicate, but somebody has to do all that, right?

The people at the department of motor vehicles make people wait in line and treat them like cattle, but they aren't really evil. Or are they? (I have heard some people comment that the DMV is a kind of hell.)

Well,anyway, I am sure that the people dressing up like Nazi SS don't mean any harm. Anyone who is that clean cut cannot be up to no good.

First: I'm not understanding how you are comparing Obama's administration to Hilter's...?
Second: Dressing up in Nazi gear to "teach" the younger generation is maybe a little overboard. Wouldn't that be like using drugs or engaging in homosexual behavior just to "teach" the younger generation that it is wrong?

How exactly is dressing in Nazi gear the same as committing sodomy or using illegal drugs?

Dressing in Nazi gear is actually much like what Landover does at its annual Hell House, where there are horror rooms depicting homosexuals and druggies. They're not REAL homosexuals and druggies. I helped rehearse one of the scenes just last week, and I know for sure that every single man in that group was a True Heterosexual™.

I believe there will even be a section called "Obama Nation" in which Obama's jackbooted thugs will be tromping on Bibles. (Note: Not real Bibles, they're actually Qurans with "Bible" written on the cover.) I don't think they will use Nazi uniforms, though, because Nazis were "Positive Christians" who did believe in Jesus. Obama's thugs are Muslims and atheists.

Have you not read a history book? Did you not go to school? Everyone knows what happened during the Holocaust. Those events hold more truth than the bible!

Gosh, I hope those Qumquats didn't cost a lot of money! Will they be used to heat people's houses or as kindling in witch burnings later? It seems a shame to let good, True Christian money go to waste.

I would like to believe that there was such a thing as the Holocaust, but some people say that it was only minor number of people who died in the camps.
