Why Congressional Subpoenas? Trump Investigated Himself
I can't believe our laws allow that bunch of Congressional bandits on Capitol Hill to see the President's Bank records, tax records and correspondence with Russia. He had looked into these matters himself and tweeted to the world everything is fine.
Even if the President found something wrong he would have corrected it before anyone noticed. Everyone already knows the Trump name was to go on a hotel in Moscow. The Russians were going to build it with their own money and pay the President for using his name. While this was being negotiated the President let is be known all trade restrictions with Russia might be lifted and the U.S. complaints about Russian invasions of other countries would stop. The President checked to see if any of this was outside his general business ethical standards and found it was not. And we need to let Congress know that just because it has the power to remove a President from office it does not have the power to investigate a President. Trump has turned over no information and ordered staff not to testify. He already asked his staff who found him innocent. These investigations must stop now. Re: Why Congressional Subpoenas? Trump Investigated Himself
As Trump said on Twitter
"In the “old days” if you were President and you had a good economy, you were basically immune from criticism. Remember, “It’s the economy stupid.” Today I have, as President, perhaps the greatest economy in history...and to the Mainstream Media, it means NOTHING. But it will!" https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...5200327831552/ Trump has a great economy so whether or not he's involved in Russia should be overlooked. What's a few million in benefits and special loans for himself compared to the billions and billions he's generating for the economy? This reminds me of a great biblical story where some good (but misguided) servant arrogantly questioned the Lord's Divine Plan and God put him in his place! Job 38:1-18 Quote:
I think Trump should have a similar approach. Everytime he is accused of something he should ignore the accusation and rather than explaining the real (no doubt very good) reason for his actions say "Did you make the economy great? Who appointed 2 conservative Supreme Court justices? Where were you when I signed my historic tax cuts? Did you enhance our military? Who lead the charge to defeat ISIS? Who are you to question me, your President?" |
