Rebuking Unsaved Scum on Sundays
Dear all,
This Sunday, I was left with a burning question: Is it work to post on Sunday on this forum? I ask, of course, since I don't want to be stoned to death before I sired soldiers for Jesus. Exodus 31:15: Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. I think reading this forum is like reading the Bible, so it doesn't count as work. Responding to True Christians is like talking to them, so that's probably not work too. But responding to Atheist scum? Since I'm such a new member, I'm afraid my knowledge of the Scripture is still lacking, albeit impressive in comparison to many so-called Christians like Catholics and Mormons, so I'm afraid when I need to think too hard to point out the glaring flaws in an Atheist post, it counts as work and my father should stone me until I'm dead. But it's unfair if the homer-loving Lezbian negroes can defile our forum, while we can't put them in their place! Luckily I'm sure for the True Christians rebuking scum is so easy it doesn't count, but can anyone put my mind to rest with some guidance in Scripture for my case? Thanks in advance! YiC Thomas |

Welcome, young man. In your case, it is perhaps best to err on the side of caution, since we cannot guarantee that your thoughts, words and deeds are all guided by the Holy Spirit. When the eternal welfare of your soul is on the line, it is best not to take chances.
However, Scripture is quite clear on this matter as it pertains to True Christians™. One of the great things about being filled with the Spirit, predestined to Salvation™, is that not only do we have no desire to sin, we are in fact incapable of sin! Every thing we do is justified by God Himself. Praise Him! Romans 8:28-34 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. I encourage you to learn and grow in faith with us, that you too may one day be a blood-bought son of the Lamb, justified in all your actions, perfect in all ways, and unable to sin. Jesus and I want you to join us in Heaven. |

Jesus told us that we are allowed to save asses, oxen, sheep and even men from injury or death on the sabbath, when a sheep can be saved from a pit, should we not save people from the bottomless pit that is hell? (Revelation 20:1) We do as Jesus tells us, when we see someone fallen into a pit we straightway pull him out by use of rebukes and admonitions, weekdays and Sundays.

Re: Rebuking Unsaved Scum on Sundays
Why, thank you all for your clear guidance! Now my mind is at rest. For now, I'll err on the side of caution, unless a sinner has a terminal illness and has to be rebuked as soon as possible, to save him/her from the pit of Hell.
I do think sinners should read this topic to see how you reference evidence. It would be a great example, I think. How many times we see something like: "lol, science disproved God" or something like that, without even one source of evidence to back that statement up? I already saw lots of Atheists doing that, and I've only been here a few days! |

ARE YOU SERIOUS HERE? Are you aware that there are so many inviting, loving Christian churches in which you can learn the word of God, what he expects of us - and NOT put other people down and pretend to be the Almighty God himself? Jesus didn't intend for us to be judgmental, mean, or critical. You wont be STONED TO DEATH if you work on a Sunday. Are you SERIOUS???? I cannot believe this cult. I will pray for all of you. It's a shame that some IGNORANT "pastor" can lead his "sheep" in such an incorrect way. He is twisting the words of the bible to make a group of STUPID followers. NO PASTOR SHOULD EVER PREACH HATRED OR JUDGEMENT.
This is disgusting. I advise any new christians looking for a place to belong to GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE. |

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule of worshiping satan and spreading your legs for anyone with a dollar to post this hateful message. The Holy Bible tells us that we are actually Blessed by your persecution! Thanks for proving that we're right. :tiphat: Quote:

I also tend to be very cautious on this. I am aware of God's instruction to kill the man who was gathering sticks on the Sabbath.
Numbers 15:32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day. 33And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. 34And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him. 35And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp. 36And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses. The man was probably trying to give heat to his family but God still wanted him dead. To be on the safe side I always turn off the heating on our house on Sundays. When my children were babies we had a very cold winter and two of them were severely ill due to hypothermia. Luckily they survived through my application of an old coat and prayers. Now they are older they understand that it is better to be cold once a week than risk burning for eternity. YIC Jack |

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. |
Re: Rebuking Unsaved Scum on Sundays
I've always felt that rebuking sinners (even on Sunday) is a way of glorifying Jesus and praising the Name of God. Sunday's are set aside to honor Jesus and what better way to show our devotion to His Holy Name than to rebuke those who would desecrate it. Praising Jesus is a 24/7/365 duty for all True Christians™.
