Denver legalizes psilocybin

If anywhere was going to do a particularly stupid thing, I would first guess San Francisco with Denver only in second place. So the recent news about Denver legalizing magic mushrooms was a small surprize.

Let's consider the reasons FOR doing this stupid act:
1) Work-shy stoners can smoke the magic mushroom and get high
2) Kids who purchase from dealers won't be forced to switch to hard drugs like marijuana when their supply is unavailable

Now let's look at the reasons AGAINST:
1) IT'S DRUGS!
2) IT'S ILLEGAL!
3) YOU WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE IN PRISON!
4) YOU WILL GET AIDS FROM ALL THE NEEDLES!
5) IT'S A WAR! GET REAL! WAKE UP!!1

As you can see, the desperate addicts in Denver did not even use reason when taking this stupid vote. I think it's time we had a sensible debate about whether we double down on the War on Drugs or we triple down. People in Denver are about to consume vast quantities of mentally altering chemicals, they won't be able to stop themselves and then they won't be able to think straight. They will just consume drugs and destroy society like every illegal drug previously.

Humans are WEAK and need to be stopped from doing things they enjoy that are bad. Drugs are BAD, except ones that are patented. A CLUE people: if you can grow it yourself, it's illegal. Don't touch drugs. Don't let others touch them. Shoot people who try to touch them. That's how we can save lives.

Amen, Brother Dr. Toole! Amen, amen, amen! And I thank you for raising this very important issue. It astounds me that society is getting worse with each passing day, with one drug or another being accepted when we all know that none of it should be allowed. And it all starts with the marijuana pushers! That's the start for so many of our children, finding that awful drug and then using it as a gateway to "magic" mushrooms, chemicals and I don't know what all. We need to pray constantly that the devil will be defeated here, and we need much tougher laws brought in by our Godly President. I say throw the offenders in jail and then get the prison chaplains around to witness to them. Don't let them out until they've repented and are sincere Christian believers, preaching the gospel on the street corners for the rest of their lives. Maybe that will teach them a thing or two.

Sincerely,
Isabella W.

While that certainly sounds like a good idea, Sister White, we've been tossing druggies in jail for decades, and the problem is worse than ever. Harsher measures are required. Whip them to death!

Insufferable Democrat, political activist, hippie, stoner, singer, songwriter John Denver (who lived in Aspen, Colorado) was famous for penning the song "Rocky Mountain High". At some point Jesus had enough and mercifully took him out while flying his private plane (thank you Jesus - we were all tired of his endless whining).

Stay out of Denver.

ma'am , when I heard some states in the USA had legalized marijuana and some other psychotropic substances.I was really vexed and sad. Here in Nigeria, it is totally and absolutely still a "crime" to use and carry hard drugs except ciger

Pray tell, Miss Slaw, what in Heaven's name is "ciger"? Is this another of your many typographical errors? Did you intend to say "cider"?
Sincerely,
Isabella W.

You are absolutely correct, dear Brother Lukes! Why should our tax dollars pay for housing and food for those horrible, sinful criminals? Yes, take them outside, get out the whips, give them what they deserve, and get it over with! And they should do it before those hardened addicts escape from jail and start pushing their lines of marijuana up the noses of our children!

Jeremiah 48:10 "Cursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood."

A blessed day to you, dear Brother Lukes.

Sincerely, Isabella W.

I appreciate your use of scare quotes around the word "crime" to emphasize the fact that, in spite of the illegality of drugs in N****ia, none of your contrymen have any respect for the law.

For example, this boy seems to have pushed his front teeth apart, creating a gap so as to facilitate the constant use of a crack pipe. The absence of photographs to corroborate his habit proves the tyrannical, censorious nature of the N****ian government.

Still glad you kicked out the British?

Yes sir, we kicked out the British in 1960. That picture you labelled a boy is actually the president of Nigeria. I am really sad with the level of moral depravity in Nigeria and its true that the leaders are the reflection of what the society and its followers are. I pray for God to change this country for better someday sir

The President?!! He looks like he's demon-possessed, end of story. It's no wonder your nation is in such trouble. And why is wearing a flower pot on his head? I have a similar one that contains my prized begonias. Who on Earth does he think he is? Stevie Wonderful?
Sincerely,
Isabella W.

The leaders of nations should be young vibrant men, like our own Dear Trump

And I'm sure you were real proud of that at the time. You are currently living in the "destruction" phase of Proverbs 16:18.

Jesus is quite disappointed and enraged with your behavior as well. Don't you see the correlation between kicking out the British and your country's collapse into paganism and utter mayhem? If we look to the Bible, we'll see that the negroes are a subject people put on this earth to carry out menial tasks for the White Man (Genesis 9:24-27). When you knew your place during the colonial period, things went decently well. But your people decided to go against God in 1960 and upset the divine order, resulting in calamity (Deuteronomy 32:35).

I know, and you ought to be ashamed of that fact. He certainly makes a poor showing compared to our President.

It's getting worse people. Now other cities are getting in on the illegal drug trade. You can even purchase lab grade calibrated doses of psilocybin in sealed capsules online that are shipped to your door. Without the fear of poisoning or random quality control, what's to stop the criminals injecting more and more drugs? It's madness.
