It includes strict enforcement of our nation’s obscenity laws, as well as the promotion of parental software controls that guard our children from Internet pornography.”

Then we have Newt Gingrich, who wasn’t satisfied with a written statement. In a face to face meeting, Gingrich told Morality In Media that, “Yes, I will appoint an Attorney General who will enforce these laws.” The existing laws that each of these candidates were referring to are federal laws that they and Morality In Media feel make the distribution of pornography illegal.

What the candidates and the group really are saying through the usual right wing code is that they want to ban pornography.

On one of their many websites, the group claims blames pornography for most of society’s ills and believes that porn causes brain damage, “Simultaneously, medical research documenting how pornography harms brain function is now available, yet it is still relatively unknown to parents, medical personnel, legislators, and law enforcement.”

While combing through the group’s websites, I could not find a distinction between “legal” and “illegal” porn, but in their press release they express the belief that the distribution of all hardcore pornography is illegal.

If you really want to know how the Republican Party got so screwed up, consider that the top three candidates for the Republican presidential nomination has given more detail about how they would ban pornography than they have about how they would create jobs. I don’t care what people do in the privacy of their homes, and you would think that supposedly “small government” conservatives wouldn’t either.

Each candidate has a different reason for taking this position. Rick Santorum is a true believer. Mitt Romney is shamelessly pandering and trying to prove that he is a real conservative, but the real jaw dropper is serial adulterer Newt Gingrich promising to ban the distribution of porn. If anyone knows firsthand about the dangers of porn, it’s Newt.

The party of small government doesn’t want to put people back to work. No, their most pressing priority is to arrest people who distribute porn, which really tells you everything you need to know about the current state of the Republican Party.

We have had the war on poverty, the war on drugs, the war on terror, and if a Republican gets elected president, we will have the war on porn.

That's blatant anti-conservative bigotry, as well as a complete misunderstanding of what small government is all about. The government isn't there to create jobs, as though politicians could just wave their magic wands and poof jobs into existence out of thin air. The government is there to protect certain fundamental individual liberties, chief of which is our right to live in a society free from anything of which we disapprove.

Yes exactly, a government is here to GOVERN us and to implement God's laws, to ban all porn (especially gay porn) is a very good start, next thing they will have to do is to criminalize all forms of sodomy and homosexuality, with stoning to death as punishment.

Every time someone has anal sex it is like stabbing Jesus in the eye with a blazing hot pitchfork. The idea that someone would put this sort of thing on the internet where it can be spread as a meme is frankly appalling.

I want to know which candidate will declare a war on anal rape. I have heard it from competent and reliable sources that beyond the gates of Freehold, the homers have declared war on virgin anus. We need to fight back against the homosexual and quasi-homosexual menace!

Why is it only Romney even bothered to mention the need for parents to be involved in supervising and guiding their children?

Is it because the other two, beholden to Rome, are afraid to suggest parents pay attention to their kids . . . lest yet another pedopriest be uncovered? :glare:

It took only a few minutes for the jury to find Mr. Peterman not guilty on all charges. His case illustrates what has happened to an industry that used to be confined to the margins of commerce, in the seedy parts of most towns, run by people who never dreamed of taking their companies to Wall Street.

I posted this in another thread; this is where it should be.

Years ago there used to be a dirty book store right near the von Trappe place in Stowe. They did a good business but nobody ever parked in the front lot. I think the von Trappe's probably owned the place, being Australian eurotrash and all, but that was never made public.

Sure you could rent porno movies back then but most folks were just too afraid of being seen anywhere near the place. Then one day it just closed. The funny thing was our Pastor was so happy about it that he even mentioned it during the next Sunday service. Local young men would no longer be tempted to satisfy their prurient interests by visiting "Batchelor's Quarters" or BQ as the place was called. He was an older man who had preached for sixty years and though very knowledgeable when it came to scripture, he knew nothing about the internets.

Well even little me (I was about 13 at the time) was aware about all the naked stuff available on computers. After school sports and other extracurricular activities gradually ceased because all the boys (and I will admit some girls from the trailer park) couldn't wait to get home to the stuff. They usually had 2-3 hours before the parents got home from work.

Update 15 years and now 10 year olds are watching the filth on iPods. Yeah, even the herp a derps who have about a 45 minute ride on the short bus are drooling on the way to special ed. Porno videos are like a $6 billion industry and I think the cosmetic surgeries and tattoo parlors have enjoyed an increase in business, too. IT IS OUT OF CONTROL!

If Mr Santorum can get a handle on this thing I will definitely vote for him. Most of the filming is done in Russia and Thailand so the effect on our economy will not be that drastic. Am I alone in wanting to get our teens back on the athletic fields and out of their locked bedrooms? I just know they are playing with themselves! I know it!

Considering that mormon Utah is the nr.1 subscribers of porn in America, i now highly doubt that Mitt Romney would want to ban porn, since watching porn seems to be the main interest of the mormons of Utah :thumbdown:

Besides, masturbation is always a gaysexual act, touching someone's penis, including your own, in another purpose than peeing, is GAY!

My wife Delores and I watched "The McLaughlin Group" this weekend, and Pat Buchannan predicted a coming Permanent Republican Majority beginning this fall with the inevitable defeat of pro-porn, anti-American Barack HUSSEIN Obama. Although the rest of the lamestream media will deny it, the intense concentration by Republicans on ridding our nation of porn, birth control, abortion, and college indoctrination is a real winning issue for the Republican Party, and will carry our party to sweeping victories in 2012. The independent voters and moderates will certainly see the wisdom of these policies and soundly reject Obummer and his disgusting crew of barbaric, dirty-minded thugs!!

I, for one, can't wait until Barack HUSSEIN Obama is sent back to Chicago in disgrace, shunned by the American people, and forced to shine shoes or dance for coins on street corners to feed his disgusting family. Unable to make a living through legal means, he'll likely turn to selling drugs, like 75% of The Blacks. We'll probably see him sent to jail midway through President Romney's first term.
