Day 31. Leviticus 4-6

Leviticus 4-6

Today we get:
  • Sin offerings
  • Trespass offerings
  • Other burnt offerings

Leviticus 4

1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Remember, Leviticus was dictated by the LORD to Moses.

The first sin offerings is for the priest.

3 If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering.

Priest offers bullock.

The bullock is slaughtered at the door; blood is sprinkled on the altar; the fat and inwards get burned on the altar; the skin, head, legs, other inwards and dung get burned outside of town.

13 And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which should not be done, and are guilty;

14 When the sin, which they have sinned against it, is known, then the congregation shall offer a young bullock for the sin, and bring him before the tabernacle of the congregation.

If all of Israel sins, they offer a young bullock.

This bullock is offered the same way as the other sin offering.

22 When a ruler hath sinned, and done somewhat through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD his God concerning things which should not be done, and is guilty;

23 Or if his sin, wherein he hath sinned, come to his knowledge; he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a male without blemish:

Ruler offers a male goat.

It's handled the same way.

27 And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty;

28 Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned.

Common people offer a female kid goat.

If they can't afford a goat, a female lamb also works.

Leviticus 5

Now we get into some laws.

1 And if a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing, and is a witness, whether he hath seen or known of it; if he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

This law says, if you see a crime, you MUST report it, otherwise you are just as guilty.

2 Or if a soul touch any unclean thing, whether it be a carcase of an unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and if it be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty.

Carcases are unclean, if you touch it YOU become unclean.

If you touch an unclean person, or swear to do bad, or do any of the above things:

6 And he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a kid of the goats, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his sin.

Those are the trespass sins.

If he can't bring a lamb or kid, he must bring two turtledoves or two pigeons.

If he can't bring the birds, he brings some flour.

15 If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the LORD a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering.

If you trespass against the LORD, even through ignorance, you must offer a ram.

17 And if a soul sin, and commit any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the LORD; though he wist it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

Heck, if you do any sin against the LORD, you have to offer a ram.

Leviticus 6

2 If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;

or find the thing you lost, and lie about it; you have to give it back, and 20% more. AND, he has to offer a ram.

9 Command Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the law of the burnt offering: It is the burnt offering, because of the burning upon the altar all night unto the morning, and the fire of the altar shall be burning in it.

13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

Well, as there is no altar anymore, because there is no temple, it's kind of out...

Now the rules for the burnt offering.

14 And this is the law of the meat offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD, before the altar.

Remember, the meat is not meat, but flour.

The priest is to put some on the altar, and then they get to eat the rest, but it can't be leavened.

26 The priest that offereth it for sin shall eat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation.

The priest who kills the offering, must eat it.

The priests must've gained a lot of weight, from eating all the offerings. The weight of the sin of the people!

So what have we learned today.

1. What is a trespass.
2. What offerings are to be given by whoever commits a sin.
3. If you are going to be a Levitical priest, you'd better like bullock, ram, kid, lamb and unleavened cakes.

Common people offer a female kid goat.

If they can't afford a goat, a female lamb also works.

Even if there was nothing else in the Bible about gender roles, this passage alone would explain why feminism is wrong. The Kollontai-Clinton Stalino-feminazi crowd expect us to believe that men and women are somehow "equal". So why is it that important people have to violently dismember a male goat to atone for their important sins, but unimportant little people can get away with only offering a female goat? Your gender defines how much you're worth and that's that. It's just common sense, people!

EDIT: And don't get me started on the vegans!

I will not be applying for the carcas clean up job now.
