Hello!

I go to several churches and the occasional Bible Study in my medium sized city. I never cease to learn from each I attend. I love seeing how people from different backgrounds and cultures unite in the Lord.

Favorite verse? I can't imagine naming one verse about all others. Some favorites:
First 2 verses of Psalms 1. These really lay out our priorities for life.
Certainly the Blessed in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5) stand out as well. Again our priorities are stressed. You can read this a thousand times and extract something new each time as it relates to your life.
One of the most touch has to be John 21:18 where Jesus tells John how he will die glorifying God.
Certainly John 17 when Jesus is mulling over the upcoming crucifixion has to hit you hard as well.
Each one of these is life changing in itself.

I came to the Lord via radio listening to Hal Lindsey. From that moment on I finally had defined sexual control with women. It also saved the life of my unborn child as abortion was in the cards without enormous time and commitment on my part convincing the mother adoption was a much better choice for all concerned - most of all the child of course. After a few weeks she agreed, had a healthy child and that child is healthy in the Lord today thanks to a Christian upbringing that gave guideposts used through the turbulent teenage and early 20's years. What a difference grounding makes. When you think they aren't listening, don't worry....they are. Your words are seeds and they grow, sometimes hidden, sometimes a little suppressed, but they grow and are available for when that first watering comes later. Plant, plant, plant.

I had a classical music upbringing; it was essentially my life with little time for any other activities. The biggest error my family made was not observing the Sabbath. The 7 day a week grind is a mistake for any activity. No wonder God showed us my example in Genesis 2:2. For me I saw the wisdom in this first hand. Do anything 7 days a week and you'll see your mind get dulled, your body be prone to injury, your spirit diluted. I think the point many people miss is the focus on the ceasing of work. God never commanded us to go to a religious assembly one day a week though there are many examples of that in the Bible so obviously its encouraged. The point is to walk away from all work, including chores around the home and have a complete break from all our tasks and focus on Him alone. What is interesting is how our stress levels subside when we sink into prayer and voice our appreciation for all our blessings. Its so calming. I think any believer will feel the spirit of the Lord in vibrant churches, surrounded by believers and will be drawn to it. Most days we are surrounded by people's disbelief and people living in sin not realizing how destructive some of their choices are to them. So to suddenly be immersed in a room full of faith and praise is a powerful neutralizer for all that darkness outside.

Re: Hello!

As I really had no idea about your organization I started to read a few articles. The "Lawd have mercy" mercy one was racist beyond belief. I cannot believe any Bible believing Christian could pen such a horrific article. As a white guy who has always appreciated Black culture, I must take except to the many inaccuracies and blatant racism found there. I can't imagine being black and reading that. You people need a lot of prayer.

And how you could refer to someone you don't know as trash....that just speaks volumes. This is like a church for the KKK.

Re: Hello!

Wow, would you like some cheese with your whine? :birgits_giggle:

I was once unsaved trash like you. Yet, I read my Bible, I listened to the True Christians, and I worked hard to find the love of my Lord and Saviour! Now, I am a forum member!

Still, I must work harder, for as you see, I long to be a True Christian myself. Until that day, I must pray and read my Bible...and not whine.

So buck up, HIR! Keep going and one day you too will be a True Christian!

First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. We're right and you're wrong, according to Jesus and the Holy Word of God. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself. :rtfm:

Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed
HERE. Please contact a Pastor immediately if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.

Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here
uninvited, and unwelcome .

If you want to debate people,
THIS is the place to go.

Please make a thread of your own in the "
Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at
THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself. :rtfm:

I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to
hellfire. :sinner::haha:

Re: Hello!

Dear Miss Best: Thank you for your introductory message but, frankly, it belongs in the "TL;DR" category.

Now, then, I see you've already received one Infraction Notice, and rightly so. As this is :forum-fancy:, I think you will see that we have a very sharp group of :god-fancy:-sent moderators and pastors. You will find that we are a :true-fancy: group of believers in the :kjv1611: and the messages that it contains from the :lord-fancy: :god-fancy: Almighty. That means that we believe everything that is written in that Great Book. We do not cherry-pick our favorite verses, nor do we ignore the ones that some people don't like.

II Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness".

May you learn from the error of your ways, Miss Best,
Sincerely, Isabella W.
