Bear half eats Sinning Child!

We all know the story of the prophet Elisha in 2Ki:2:23 – 24 where 42 children called the noble prophet “Baldy” and were thus all killed by a bear sent by God. (And quite right too!)

And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

Now all too often people say that stories from the Bible are just thinly disguised morality tales and are unlikely to have happened.

Well, let me tell you, all these things really happen, and they happen today in the here and now! Praise! God is so Great, He does not need to make things up.
Look at this story and enlarge the photo on the page:
Quote:

John Pala and his two boys had finished a meal of Kentucky Fried Chicken, locked the leftovers in their car and walked a short way up the Rainbow Falls Trail near Gatlinburg when a black bear attacked 8-year-old Evan on Monday.
Quote:

The third-grader has a bite wound high on his shoulder, at the base of his neck, staples in his head and stitches in his back and arms from scratches and bites left by the 83-pound young male bear. The bear later charged park rangers, who tracked and killed it shortly after the 7:30 p.m. attack.

[…]Pala said the bear was on top of Evan, biting and clawing at his head, back and arms and shredding his T-shirt as Pala hauled it off and told his sons to run. But, after a few steps, Evan fell.

"He tripped on a branch. It tackled him again," said Alex.

"I grabbed it by the mouth again," Pala said, this time getting between the bear and his sons. Evan ran for the parking lot, blood streaming from the bite and claw wounds as Pala and Alex threw rocks and sticks at the bear standing its ground, the family said.

"He didn't run from me. He stood right there," said Pala, who backed off along with Alex. "When we got about 20 feet away, we ran," the father said.

[…]"Park wildlife biologists report there has been no bear activity reported at this location recently," said a statement issued by the park Tuesday. "The bear that was shot did not have an ear tag or tattoo, indicating that it had not been previously captured," the statement added, stressing that the young bear's aggressive behavior toward humans is unusual for the species.

[…]A 6-year-old girl was killed by a black bear in Cherokee National Forest during a family walk in the woods in April 2006, said National Park Spokesman Bob Miller.[…]
Now, look at the photo again... you see what’s happening? These kids are thinking that their father might be “thinning on top”, so God, who knows all your thoughts, sends a bear to attack them to the degree that they thought their father was going bald. The child, Evan, was attacked by a young bear and not really hurt, thus he obviously wasn’t calling his father names - just thinking that it wouldn’t be long before the rug salesman was round at the house or something like that.

Anyhoo, time for the moral with which you will all agree – baldness is a very serious matter and The Lord (Who has a fine head of hair) will arrange a proportional smiting for anyone being disrespectful. Thus all Bible verses are true! Praise and Glory!

What luck that they were able to get this action photo of the bear actually in the process of attacking the child. It looks like a seriously ugly bear. I hope they killed it straightaway.
