The Tramp's Trap

She is only 14.

She came from a broken home, and no one ever showed her real Love. She began to hide her emptiness with drugs and alcohol at the age of twelve. By the time she was thirteen she ran away from home and ended up sleeping at a bus station in a big city. She had no where to go, and no one cared. She was scared and hungry.

That night a handsome young man saw her at the bus station. He promised her a life full of glamour and riches. She thought he loved her, but he just wanted to use her and become her pimp.

She stands on the cold street corner begging for tricks. She is lonely and sad. Life is a cycle of prostituting her young, frail body to men who are old, ugly, mean and care nothing about who she is. She drowns her pain with pills and alcohol just to keep high and feel numb.

Satan has a strong grip on her.

In this age of evil; anger and hatred, bitterness and brokenness, fear, terror and depression, there is Hope.

Turn your life over to Jesus Christ and find peace, love and forgiveness of sins that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

Jesus is the Answer.

Jedidiah, something I always wondered. Why do we as Christians try to attract the Tramps to our Church? Surely there are better pickings out there. I'm sure I'm misunderstanding something important, but I can't see what it is right now.

We're trying to get to them before they go out and murder their unborn children. Which brings me to my next poem...

She is just 16.
Just a child herself, and now she is pregnant. What will the father say, what will her father say! What will happen to her dreams now. What shall she do. How could this have happened to her.

Wondering where I can go
My spirit needs to fly
With deepest contemplation now
My heart just feels a sigh

Feel so lost within this place
It seems this is my fate
Never knowing how to leave
My heart and soul debate

Courage found but holding back
So hard to know the way
Abandonment to all my dreams
My heart now dips and sways

Knowing what is right for me
The heart still feels the pain
Every fiber of my soul
Is drenched with acid rain

Decisions don't come easily
When feeling so alone
I need this time to understand
My heart is what I own

With a breath of courage now
I'll face the brand new dawn
Painfully this time will pass
Heart's destiny reborn.

It's a good thing that prostitution is illegal, because it ensures that those who participate in it will contract diseases from God!
