Default Re: Advertising Slogans That Have Offended Me Over the Years - 06-06-2011, 09:14 AM

I was always troubled by Folger's "Good to the last drop" slogan. If that's not an encouragement for fellatio, I don't know what is.

And then there's "Let your fingers do the walking" from the Yellow Pages. I always involuntarily clench my buttcheeks when I hear that. The very image of somebody's dry fingers doing the walking has me wincing even now.

Other obviously gay slogans include:

"We bring good things to life" - GE
"Think outside the box" - Apple Computer, 1990s
"It takes a licking and keeps on ticking." - Timex Corporation, 1956
"If it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face" - Carl's Jr.
"We love having you here" - Hampton Inn
"You've Come a Long Way, Baby" -- Virginia Slims Cigarettes
"Like a rock" - Chevrolet

"Come Unto Me. Put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath." (Matthew 19:14, Job 1:11).
