Given this study, it stands to reason that the reverse would be true as well. Higher wages lead to increased cognitive function. That's why it is so good we live under capitalism and that such a large percentage of the wealth is concentrated among such a relatively small percentage of individuals.


These people losing their cognitive function were never using their brains to begin with. They didn't need brains to do their jobs. The wages (along with brainpower), should be reserved to those who need it most and are providing jobs to the rest of us.
