Poor old Chris Patten. He was in charge of organising the conservative victory in the 1992 election, but in the process lost his own parliamentary seat.
That's why he was sent to Hong Kong - a prime example of what the British call "FILTH" - Failed In London, Try Hong kong. The most interesting thing about him is that he is married to a woman called Lavender.
