But ofcourse you WOULD happen to leave out a very important part of the whole story? "[53:23] These are but names that you made up, you and your forefathers. GOD never authorized such a blasphemy. They follow conjecture, and personal desire, when the true guidance has come to them herein from their Lord." Which clearly said God never orderd the people of Mecca to worship thoise gods, and look it just so happens to be RIGHT AFTER THE VERSE YOU MENTIONED. The context would be lovely.

Satanic Verses and Here

(re: the abrogation of the Satanic Verses) References?

Here we are:
Quote:
The event of the Satanic Verses shows how a verse in the Qur'an could be modified or deleted at a later date. This is an example of the Qur'anic doctrine of abrogation. The Hadith also records several other occasions where verses of the Qur'an were modified, changed or deleted.

Here at the penultimate paragraph in the roots of islam section .
Quote:
At one point Muhammed seems to have weakened, and declared that the three goddesses of Mecca were valid intermediaries between men and God. The verses in which he said this were the original "Satanic Verses". He soon repudiated them as the work of the devil, but the fact that he could have spoken them at all is an embarrassment. Some Muslims have denied that the incident ever happened; yet it is based on reliable traditions. It is hard to see why Muslims should have passed on such a story if it hadn't been true.

(re: So in the Koran, how many gods are there?) Let me fix your translation, the word used in arabic is singular, the CORRECT translation is: Most blessed is GOD, the best Creator.
|
In Arabic and American, “best” is the superlative and requires that other objects be present for comparison. How can allah be “best of creator” if there were no other creators?
Quote:
Bite size, refers to the SIZE, not to eat a fetus. Infact the Quran says its sinful to do an abortion. If you look at the size of a fetus, it is indeed bite sized. That is actually science.

Hmmm… what a way to describe fetus, eh? One wonders why that phrase was chosen…

(re: Al-Aqsa) Correction, it was REBUILT 60 years because in the year 748, it was completely destroyed by an earth quake. It exists in the 70's, and was rebuilt by the christians in 530. For more information please visit this article:

It still doesn’t add up …and he got there on a flying horse…!!! Where in the Bible does it tell about flying horses? Where are they now according to the koran? I mean, bird poo is bad enough!
You might like to consider another anachronism: I’ll leave it to the author here to point out what a fairytale the Koran is!
Quote:
Haman - A minister of the Pharoah?
(Koran 28:8)
...For Pharaoh and Haman and all their hosts were Men of sin.
(Koran 28:38)
...therefore, O haman! light me a klin to bake bricks
out of clay, and build me a loftly palace...
Here the Koran clearly implies that Haman and the Pharaoh existed at the same time and place. But History tells us otherwise. The Pharaoh lived during the time of Moses and Haman served as a minister of Ahasuerus (Xerxes I). The Koranic verse in this case contains not only an error in location, but also an error of time as well (1,000 years).
Once again the Koran proves to us that either Mohammed had no real knowledge of History or he chose to distort it to suit his evil needs.

Come on, confess, it’s all a load of medieval mumbo-jumbo isn’t it. I mean, what would happen if there were no mohamed and no allah? Absolutely nothing, that’s what! And thus we see that as they are not necessary, they don’t exist. Yet if you worship them, whom are you worshipping?
