Yes He did tell her to "sin no more" I'm not sure what He would have done had He found her committing a different sin the next day. He told me to forgive even 70 times 7..
As for the flower thing He created the flowers for us to love and enjoy. I'm sure He wasn't a hippie. Gods wrath can be fierce. He alone is the judge.
