Bicycles are far too small and slow to be on the road. They hold up traffic, are hard to see, and are very tempting targets for drivers. On the other hand, they're much too big and fast for sidewalks. They constantly zoom past innocent pedestrians and crash into elderly people. There is nowhere that bicycles belong, not on the street and not on the sidewalk. They are truly the hermaphrodites or mulattos of the transportation world. They ought to be outlawed.
