First of all, Jesus was Jewish. He celebrate passover and followed jewish law. Thats why he was in Jerusalem before he was crucified, to celebrate the passover. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)
Second, yes a large part of the bible was written by Jews. Who else would have written the Old Testament since Christians were not even around until after Jesus' death and the start of the New Testament.
