That's another favorite moment of the debate - every time Hillary got sidetracked and wasted time interacting with the 20 or so undecided voters in the room. Typical over-emotional woman, showing concern and compassion, as if 20 measly votes actually matter.
Trump knew that there were millions of people watching on TV, so he had the presence of mind to ignore the people in front of him, starting with him ignoring the first question, then putting words in the questioner's mouth, to the high point of the debate where he was lecturing a muslim on how horrible muslims are.
Even the democrats are admitting this disparity in brainpower:
@timkaine
No question who won tonight. Donald focused on Hillary. Hillary focused on the American people. #Debate
@CBSNews
Trump and his kids have left the #debate hall, while the Clintons have stayed to shake hands with the crowd
@steveweinstein
Clinton afterward went to greet the questioners. The American people. Trump goes to his own clan. Tells you a lot.
Come on, in the olden days the winner of a battle was whoever stayed on the battlefield after the other one fled, but modern warfare is all about hit-and-run attacks. By running away, Donald was just following
the official GOP strategy of emulating the Taliban.
