The Godly laws against blasphemy were abolished about 10 years ago in the "United" Kingdom (I am speaking only of England and Wales here, not Scotland and as for Northern Ireland - Never! Never! Never!). However, it is still technically illegal to call for the abolition of the monarchy. This leaves an interesting judicial situation, whereby one is permitted to call for the abolition of the head of the Church of England (the reigning monarch), but calling for the abolition of the reigning monarch in his or her monarchic capacity may incur a life sentence.
But I have gone off-topic, for which I beg everyone's pardon. I notice that the map (so useful, thank you Brother Professor Dr White, Sir) omits New Zealand. I assume the color of that country is so white that it doesn't even show up, indicating that blasphemy is not merely permitted but actually compulsory. Or has it sunk under a tidal wave? I haven't looked at the newspapers today.

I personally think that it is
always beneficial to omit New Zealand but to make our research project perfect I made a quick substudy and discovered some
important pieces of information. The
Kiwi-fruits are
also repelling their blasphemy prohibition as we speak.

Blasphemous libel is listed in the Crimes Act and comes with a punishment of up to a year in prison but has not been prosecuted since 1922 - and even then was unsuccessful.
Labour sought to repeal the law when in opposition last year, but National blocked its attempt, saying the public should first have a say.
The government's Crimes Amendment Bill will be considered by MPs later this year and people will have a chance to make submissions when it goes before a select committee.
Former prime minister Bill English [E.G. White's educated, unbiased comment: THIS IS NO SUPRISE - of course he's English]- a practising Catholic [E.G. White's educated, unbiased comment: THIS IS NO SUPRISE]- last year said the law was outdated and should be repealed.
The comments were echoed by the bishops of the New Zealand Anglican Church who said God did not need to be defended [E.G. White's educated, unbiased comment: THIS IS NO SUPRISE] by a statute.

What then, do the "bishops" of the
Kiwi plantations think
needs to be defended (their statement obviously contradicts 1 Timothy 1:19) if
God doesn't need it? Apparently
bestiality, the favorite hobby of the New Zealanders. Isn't "old Zealand" somewhere in the
Netherlands? Considering that, this is also no surprise!
Jesus have Mercy!
Yours in Christ,
