The injured and the families of the deceased need our prayers. The ones who are deceased need no prayers; there's nothing that can be done now that they are dead. If they worshiped Jesus they will go to Heaven, but if God misled them they are going to Hell:
Ezekiel 20:25-26
25 Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;
26 And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the Lord.
I will leave to our Godly Pastors to evaluate whether that particular Baptist church really followed the Bible 100% or maybe were they given by God false statutes to follow. But I suspect that community did something to anger God:
Nahum 1:2 God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserveth wrath for his enemies.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
One way or another, we also should pray to God thanking Him for the mayhem He Himself orchestrated. He knows why He did it and it had to be right (because God is the ultimate judge what is right):
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?
Also, I would like to use this opportunity to say that this is not the time to politicize God's Wrath and talk about gun control. A Muslim running over six people with a HomeDepot truck, that is the proper moment to start talking about deporting all Muslims from the USA. A second mass shooting within a month is not the proper moment to talk about background checks and automatic weapons.

A Muslim running over six people with a rented Home Depot truck is a terrorist act of the worst kind. We need to discuss registering Muslims, taking away their drivers' liscenses and keeping them out of Home Depot. Why do they need a bunch of hammers and nails anyway? Look at what the Jews did to Our Lord when they got ahold of those items!
You are right about acknowledging the Lord's part in today's shooting, dear Sister. God would never allow such a thing to happen in His House
unless it served His Holy Purpose in some special way.
He protects His own at all times--except when He needs to show them some correction in some dramatic way or visit wrath upon some nearby sinners. One way or other, God will be praised. And if they don't praise Him and thank Him then we can be sure that they deserved exactly what happened to them.
Right now, I would like to praise Jesus, Lord of Hosts, fulsomely. Nothing like this will EVER happen in any Landover Baptist Church setting.
Can I get an amen?
