Gravity is different. Gravity is the byproduct of matter displacing space, causing attraction. Think of a sheet of cloth. Now stick a pencil through that cloth. You have displaced the cloth around the pencil, and the cloth will push against the pencil. The bigger the pencil, the more push you get. Gravity and magnetism are different forces.

Yes, the further an object is away, the fewer light waves the object reflects will hit your eyes, making it blurry. This does not, however, mean that the earth is flat.

No. As you said, it depends on the weather. The colder the weather is, and the more liquid there is, the more light will bend around the curvature of the earth. This will allow you to see objects that should be hidden by the curve of the earth. Notice, however, that this doesn't happen all the time. It only happens under specific circumstances.
