Default Re: Does America deserve to be ruled by Donald Trump? - 01-11-2018, 01:33 AM

I've thought about it, but after careful reflection, I think he should stay. While I'm not a "needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" type of guy in most situations, I think that the needs of hundreds of millions of Americans and all the billions of people in other foreign nations like Peurto Rico who are positively impacted by his leadership might slightly outweigh the needs/wants of Donald Trump himself. As tempting as it is to let Trump step down for a bit, let America get nuked just so we can say "See! I told you so!" I think the benefits of keeping America great outweighs those costs (only slightly though, I admit it's a compelling proposition).

Not to mention, I'm not sure liberals have the mental capacity to understand the cause and effect relationship. If Trump quit, then Kim Jong Un nuked the US the next day, and he said he specifically did it because Trump isn't here to protect us, I'm sure liberals would come up with some weird rationalization for it like how it was Trump who got him that annoyed in the first place, or that Kim is lying because he along with Russia are colluding to make Trump look good.

Perhaps I'm being selfish and am biased on this, but I feel like he's doing too much good in the world to resign. Think about how bad things were under Obama or how much worse they could have been under Hillary. Given how great everything is now I think we may be forgetting how bad it used to be or how bad it can get. I think instead of focusing the conversation on whether or not Trump should stay, we should try to consider how we can make Trump's time in office more enjoyable so he'll want to stay.

For example, a report indicates that Trump spent 91 days of the presidency, only a meager 25% of the time golfing. Is it possible to let him unwind more than that? Maybe he should spend 1/3 or half his time in office golfing. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/don...erties-n753366

New York Times also reports that Trump might save a billion dollars under his new tax plan.https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/...x-benefit.html That's great to hear as he should be richly rewarded for all his contributions to our economy, but are we sure that it's sufficient? Maybe Trump should just write a law that exempts him and his family from paying taxes altogether.

Trump also reportedly receives a packet of positive news about him twice a day. That's great! Though it could be even better. Maybe 3-4 times a day if we really step it up. The news also has a part to play in this as they need to print positive news to encourage the President. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tr...rticle/2630937

Trump also supposedly spends at least 4, and up to 8 hours a day watching television. Maybe he should just stick to a flat 8 hours a day rather than limiting himself to only 4 hours. http://thehill.com/homenews/administ...per-day-report

Lastly, I think White House staffers, though greatly improved in efficiency under Trump, are still being too inefficient with Trump's time.

And while Mr. Obama liked policy option papers that were three to six single-spaced pages, council staff members are now being told to keep papers to a single page, with lots of graphics and maps.“The president likes maps,” one official said.
We need to get policy papers down to tweet-sized information. Since Twitter recently expanded its character limit to 280 characters and also allows you to attach an image(which Trump prefers to boring text. An image is worth a thousand words!), this gives them plenty of leeway to work with.

I'm confident that with enough concessions, we can make being the President even more fun for Trump than running his businesses. A happy Trump means a happy America!
