John 3:16, 1 John 2:2, and Romans 5:8 prove that God loves everyone, not just Christians. There is nothing to argue about. In the passages that have any relevance whatsoever on the matter, it is clear that God is telling us how to behave to our fellow Children of Christ. Only fellow Christian are my spiritual neighbors. God tells me to destroy or subjugate everyone that doesn't believe like I do.
2 John 1:9-11
Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
2 Chronicles 1:12-13
And they entered into a covenant to seek the Lord God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul; That whosoever would not seek the Lord God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Deuteronomy 17:2-5
