The comparison to an orangutan is meant to highlight the fact that her ethnicity is of a "less evolved" stock; meant to imply she is closer to a lesser ape than she is to humanity. The senator essentially demeans her by stating she is a missing link, more or less, which I would have guessed is a notion you True Christians would disagree with.

There is no shortage of atheists and homers who come on our site with comments like, "..I would have guessed is a notion you True Christians would disagree with."
We are quite able to figure things out by ourselves without other speculating as to, "..would have guessed ...would disagree with."
