One of the most disgusting trends in Christianity goes by the name, Cowboys for Christ. Attendees wear cowboy hats and jeans in church. There is even a national site for this misguided branch of Christianity. Cowboys For Christ

I learned there is some of it here in Iowa. I wish I could stop it. It is going on about two hours north of us here in Freehold. A couple in a small town rides two mules into a nearby state park. They ride around the park Saturday night telling campers a "Cowboy Church Service will be held at 10 AM."

Apparently they wear their cowboy costumes and conduct some kind of church service. How they do proper music with no church organ I don't know.

To honor Jesus, people attending church should arrive in a late model car, freshly washed. They should be wearing the best clothing they own. Jesus frowns on those who sache into church like they are coming to a square dance.
