***I looked up 20cm. It's less than 7 inches in real money.
For a start, they don't say when they measured it, or where - the tide in my little seaside town goes up and down MUCH more than that every day.
Also, anyone who ever put a bottle of water in the freezer and ended up with a broken bottle knows that water
expands when it freezes. So obviously if polar ice were melting then it would take up LESS space, which would make the sea levels fall.
I am not taking any credit for this, by the way. It was explained to me by my 10-year-old son. I sometimes wonder who is home-schooling whom!
