I tried it! There were some birds to whom I talked. One of them squawked and ate a grub but I wasn't persuaded.
The real problem here is not burning books once they've been printed, all that happens is the publisher makes more money when they're replaced. Even a book nobody'd want in the first place, some titles have been suggested, all revolting because they all go against Scripture regardless of what other opinions exist, when incinerated in big piles of a thousand or so @ $50 ea., say, that's $50,000 per pile straight into the publishers' pockets. They don't care why the books are bought. One pile in each state – work it out $$$$$$$$$$$
What we need to do, although burning high-value books is commended in The New Testament, is to prevent them being written in the first place. If God's standard were applied no such titles would exist at all.
