I once read something somewhere, (before I began confining myself to the Bible and other writings that properly glorify God) that the word "testament" comes from the word "testes"which is why women were not allowed to give legal witness throughout much of history.
And you are quite, right, Sister. The Bible takes a very dim view indeed of a woman taking a hand in so many matters that involve our menfolk. Prayer is our proper resource, along with long hair, a head-covering, a modest appearance and a submissive demeanor.
