Certainly Edison's first invention was rather large and bulky - not to mention that it had to be connected to the "grid" ("mains" for the Europaeons). There has been much progress here, and the little "Italian" lights are quite pretty, along with the new LED lights that can be powered with a D-cell battery pack - perfect for easily placing on your neighbor's lawn to honor Jesus.
I have to admit though, there is something quite nostalgic about seeing a real burning cross.

I don't think much of this! If you're going to burn a cross, at least do it right.
It seems to me that this whole business would be considerably more palatable if they were to decorate the cross with a real life Jew prior to the burning ceremony.
An eye for an eye; a Jew for a Jew.
