Although people may identify as all sorts of things (Napoleon was very popular around the turn of the last century for example) but usually it's delusional thinking at work. Foucault claimed that such a person remains rational, in that if they really are Napoleon certain actions will follow that would make sense if their delusion were true. That would not make "Napoleon" a gender. Petrification (imagined or otherwise) comes into the same category: it's not a gender. Even molten lava igniting everything it touches is not a gender.
Christians do not have "gender" because God created two sexes—male and female—but in some languages nouns are ascribed a gender. Clothes, similarly, are considered "masculine" or "feminine" but which clothes are which varies between cultures. Very few clothes are gender neutral, for instance the sarong is a rectangle of cloth but tied in different ways depending on which sex is wearing it. Men tie it one way, women a different way. The gender question in language was covered in another thread. I'd noticed that people eager to challenge the tyranny of "gender" seem to make up an awful lot of them and thought a better starting point would be to find out what the word actually means. So I was able to show that, in fact, the environment in which something is set, or any change in the environment in which something occurs, is likely to lead to a re-examination or reclassification. So I think that it shows the human ability to adapt meanings in ways that are wondrous really.

The only purpose served by inventing so many genders is to enable triggering by "mispronouning" (itself a made up word) and in Christian households it's important to know when the devil's at work contradicting God in this way. It's the reason for having a list so that any suspect words can be looked up when heard and appropriate steps taken if indeed they indicate a rejection of God in this respect. As for the triggering, surely if people didn't want to be triggered by pronouns they'd simply stop using them, in the same way that if I don't want things to catch fire I stop walking around with a flamethrower.
