Of course the NASA photos are doctored, and not very well at that. Behold, photos of of Earth, the moon and Jupiter.
NASA may use this to prove the earth is spherical, but what do I see? A 2-dimensional picture that makes the earth look round like a table, not round like a ball. Poor photoshopping.
