Oh please, this is just another sad example of a statistical anomaly being used to attack the greatest religious organisation of all time.

Besides the fact that this man of God has yet to be brought to court, has anyone seriously looked into these allegations in regards to their source? This young man claims he was handcuffed numerous times and forced to perform indecencies for years on end yet he could not resist returning to visit his so-called attacker?

How often can a sixteen year old boy be tricked into the same pair of handcuffs in a sex romp room before he decides to seek financial redress for some perceived sexual slight... and there always is a demand for cash isn't there.

This entire story is fishier than Courtney Love's bicycle seat and perhaps all of you folks here owe this Priest and the entire Catholic Church an apology for your unwarranted and uncharitable attacks... to say nothing of your unChristian posturing.

We Catholics have seen everything from 'repressed memory syndrome' fantasies to outright lies by a number of purported 'victims' whose real purpose is to weaken the bastion of goodness that is the Church by means of both slander and financial threat.

Yes, in the long and proud history of The Holy Roman Church there have been one or two bad apples but to suggest a pattern of problematic behaviour by Priests is beyond the pale and rest assured we are on top of any situation that has even a whiff of child sex abuse... trust me when I tell you it is our duty to get to the bottom of stories like this and most of them end in a happy finish when left to the hands of a knowing, loving and forgiving Priesthood.
