vermin?
Vermin are described according to the effect they have. Butterflies are not usually considered vermin for example whereas bedbugs, although still insects, are always vermin. Even attractive insects [e.g..RIGHT] become vermin if they swarm and start biting! The boys should enjoy checking out details like that and it would be a help for us here, too. Which fish are vermin? Are alligators vermin? Rats? Gerbils? From the O.P. it's clear that dread is mediated with equine reinforcement at least sometimes, they would not be vermin in that case but a swarm of miniature horses eating out a carrot farm? Just a couple of suggestions, I've been thinking about a list of vermin as a handy "look up" for reference and this would be a good start.
Genesis 9:1-2 [God speaking (to Noah)] Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea
We discussed that today, and my 2nd oldest boy shouted, "DEMOCRATS!" So it was a very good lesson.
