There clearly are other people.
In Genesis 4: 14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
Cain, (after destroying 1/4 of the worlds population, if you believe that there was just Adam, Eve, and the two boys) worries about "everyone". Meaning there are others.
Then, God puts a mark on Cain, and clearly speaks about other people.
Judges 9:21 And Jotham ran away, and fled, and went to Beer, and dwelt there, for fear of Abimelech his brother.
