When I drop in for coffee at the Freehold Senior Center every week I'm a little disheartened at some old people there. While many are true believing Baptists there are some who were Christians but slid away. How foolish it is to shun Jesus in the last years of one's life. It's like a football player running with the ball and stopping just short of the goal to contemplate the meaning of life.
We at Landover Baptist can help Christians who let up late in life. Sure, some get weary of praying for forgiveness and listening to long sermons. We can help power through these times.
Older people feeling the long years of life are taxing the energy they have for the faith should join Landover Baptist in its war against sin. For example, by pointing out the sins of others in a nursing home you help those others but also feel the glow of Jesus' approval. This helps shorten the long days and evenings of not much to do.
Save others and save yourself by finishing strong in the journey of life:
