Default Re: Let's pray and thank Jesus for His present - Asteroid 2007 TU - 01-26-2008, 09:00 PM

Ah, here it is. From the Discovery Channel website:

Quote:
Tracking measurements of asteroid 2007 WD5 taken from four observatories have greatly reduced uncertainties about its Jan. 30 close approach to Mars so that the odds of impact have dropped to 1 in 10,000, the Near-Earth Object Program at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory said in a posting on its Web site.
So I guess God thought better of smiting Mars. I mean, what's the point of wasting a perfectly good asteroid on an uninhabited planet? What, did the rocks sin? Did an ice cap blaspheme the Lord's name?

I imagine He decided to save asteroid 2007 WD5 in case He need to put the hurt on centers of heathenist evil like New Delhi or Mecca or Boston.
