First, let us consider:
Mat:26:11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
Here Jesus says there is no absolute cure for poverty. There is no need even trying to prevent poverty - the task is hopeless.
Now consider this:
Since 1964 the United States Governments (Federal and State) have transferred over five trillion dollars from the middle class and the rich to the poor. Are the poor better off today or have they become more enslaved and dependent on government?
Now let's see what God really says:
I Timothy 5:8, “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”
And let us consider:
2Th:3:8: Neither did we eat any man's bread for nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:
2Th:3:9: Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.
2Th:3:10: For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
2Th:3:11: For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
2Th:3:12: Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.
As a commentary from LBC on The Lord's Word, I think you will agree that we here are doing it right. You, on the other hand, are pissing against the wall.
1Kings:16:11And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.
