This story seems to be bad news for pretty much everyone concerned.
1. For the idolatrous Mary-worshipping nuns, who will now be burning in Hell. Isaiah 44:9.
2. For the "perp", who appears to have stolen their car. Under Mississippi law this makes his crime punishable by death, as it is an aggravating factor in the killing, as set out in the Mississippi criminal code
(see 5d here), to wit:

3. For the decent, law-abiding taxpaying folk of the State of Mississippi, who will have to pay for his incarceration, his trial, his endless appeals and (eventually) his execution.
I think we can agree there are no winners here.
