Nor can I, except perhaps when I consider other women's husbands. My own beloved husband speculates whether the more willing - even enthusiastic - the wife's submission, the greater the chance of male offspring. He bases this on his personal experience - which is second only to biblical authority and a senior pastor's word (I suppose I should have said "third only to?") - of three female children borne by his first wife, before her early death, versus our own eleven strapping boys and only one girl.
