I'm calling the farmers because they have been complaining about the President's failure to reach a trade deal with China. Farm prices dropped after the President was elected because he raised tariffs on goods from China and they, in turn, raised tariffs on soy beans produced here in Iowa. Many of the farmers I talk to cannot make loan payments on their farm land and tractors.
I tell the farmers they should not be focusing on themselves. The President needs votes from other states this election and does not need the farmers. If lots of them go bankrupt it will be for a good cause, I tell them. They need to man up and serve a greater cause.

Does anyone really need the "method" (which involves a thermometer) detailed? What sort of person would drink that? This, surely, is one crop America can do without.
