Okay, Dorry, I'll bite. From the point of view of secular science (which I guess is where you're coming from? - never mind that most of it is wrong), tectonic plates are always moving. They generally move very slowly, but they are constantly moving, like gigantic underground slugs.
The noticeable (to us) consequences of this movement include volcanic eruption and earthquakes. The fact that there are (currently) no
active volcanoes in the UK is purely thanks to God's possibly temporary mercy. (By the way, it's quite interesting that they are mostly in Scotland, don't you think?) But He hurls a small earthquake in our direction - mostly quite far north of Watford
) on a very regular basis.
Feel free to believe in the scientific explanation, if it helps you. But bear in mind that Someone is making those plates move, and that Someone is our Heavenly Father.
