Considering that ticks are much smaller than people, it seems that it would take less DEET to kill them than it would a person. It makes sense then that these, what would they be called, Narwhalers? That these Narwhalers drink 3 or 4 tablespoons of DEET, then wallow around on their yards, allowing the ticks to bite them. The DEET would then be transmitted through the blood into the ticks, killing them.
