The Lord has directed my prayers and led me to the following Scripture.
CONCERNING GOD
Matthew 6:9b-13
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom
.and the power
..and the glory
...for ever.
....Amen.
CONCERNING POWER
Romans 13:1b-2
There is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
CONCERNING DECISIONS MADE BY APPOINTEES
I Peter 2:13-15
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.
I'm always happy to post Biblical encouragement because that is what God has explained (or has commanded) and is not an opinion or suggestion of my own. There is a question however, if someone could respond that would be helpful. How do we identify those doing well who deserve praise from foolish men whose ignorance should be silenced?
