If the goat is tame and domesticated enough for Aaron to just walk up to it and grab it by the head with both hands, and then sit still like that while Aaron confesses his sins to it, then I don't think it's going to survive for very long alone in the wilderness. Praise Jesus for His mercy!

There is a lot of confusion about this verse. Some Bibles translate
seed as children, and many people think this verse is a prohibition against child sacrifice. The word seed has several definitions. The correct sense of the word seed in this verse is "The generative fluid of the male; semen; sperm;".
As always, we can rely on the surrounding context to understand. Why would a law against child sacrifice be randomly inserted in the middle of a passage full of laws concerning sex? That wouldn't make sense. However, a law prohibiting the burning of man-spunk as an offering to a pagan God fits right in with the rest of the chapter.
