I always thought that the Jews didn't exist until Jesus came. God's chosen people, the pre-Christians, are always called Hebrews in the Old Testament. Jesus comes as the Messiah, and some of the Hebrews become Christians. The Jews are the wicked ones who reject Him and His message. The Jews are not God's chosen and they never were. Thus Jesus was NOT a Jew (aside from the fact that He wasn't Hebrew either because He was God), and neither was Abraham or Moses or David or Job. They all would have accepted Christ if He had come during their lifetimes. They were not money-grubbing little creeps that looked like this:
