I don't want to waste space but did notice in the above photographs [LINKED] a certain repetition. The squares are sampled from the graphics.
Meanwhile, having read your post, it dawned on me that a similar predilection turns up somewhere else. I did some more samples.

I also noticed that when they put on their little freak shows they go for black and/or white accessories. Can one be the inspiration for the other?
