Wrong. There are many reasons to kill, many outlined specifically in the Bible. Light's issue was not the fact that he was killing, but the fact he was murdering, a distinct difference.
As far as stealing is concerned, I regret to inform you that you're not very good at producing reasonable arguments. Though one may "take" a life, you are not actually gaining possesion of anything other than the experience and perhaps an untimely cleaning bill.
I would concur some situation merit alternative forms of justice, but at the same time, recognize that ultimately, the final mormments of our mortal coil pale in comparison to the eternal disposition of our immortal souls.
