Sister Mary, be careful. While most debates revolve around a shared common ground of agreed facts, when you're dealing with leftists, you have to assume that the "
Agreed Facts" are actually leftist propaganda. Leftists will not agree to anything else, after all.
Are there less girls in school? Perhaps in the "
swarthy, rapey" parts of the world Brother Trent is warning us will soon be all of the world thanks to open borders.
But most of those schools are just a waste of time anyway, especially for dirt-farming villagers, the girls gain an advantage by being out in the real world doing real work while the boys are locked up in an all-but-prison.
As for the "
1 in 3 women" statistics - ever notice how feminists never say "
it's unequal that 1 in 3 women have been punched once in their lives whereas as for men the statistic is...."
Of course they don't say this, for men the statistic is "
3 in 3 men are beaten, assaulted, sexually assaulted, molested or abused during their lifetime".
And while I don't know enough of Sandra Fluke to judge her a slut or not, she IS a rich white woman who claims to be oppressed because taxpayers don't pay to reimburse the costs of her non-procreative sex.
Dodging the sexual politics, she is an argument in favor of the libertarian idea that people are best off when instead of all those complex policies, people just have cash period, and can use free markets to do what they want. I mean, who needs insurance anyway? "
Saving money for a rainy day" is cheaper and simpler, and if you want to splurge on a billion babykiller pills and use them to fill your swimming pool, why not?
