In 1883, Jebediah Flint founded Landover in Des Moines as an autocracy, belonging to, but separate from, the USA, i.e. based upon the original Landover and approved in that status by our church.
The settlement was founded in Des Moines upon the strictest interpretation of KJV1611 and flourished until around 1929. At this time, a certain Brother Horatio Porter released one of his indentured servants from bondage and granted him a small plot of land. Within 15 years a ghetto had been formed and the Council of Church Elders decided that the only way to save the souls of the goodly white folk from the corruption of drugs, sex, illegal firearms, rising crime rates, fried chicken parlors, numerous water-melon vendors, and welfare claimants, was to move the entire community back to the gated property we had possessed since 1620. The area of Des Moines called Freehold remains in the possession of Landover Baptist Church (through various holding companies) and hence it retains its name and its own Zip Code.
Following Professor Jehoram Mordant’s above revelation, in 1960, through negotiation with U.S. Department of the Interior and U.S. Geological Survey (We have True Christians in all the influential places) it was agreed that the original Freehold would continue not appear on maps.
There was one error once: the cartographer turned out to be an embittered atheist whose lifeless body was discovered near the old bridge. His map showed this:
Fortunately, the map is not quite accurate but does give some indication as to where Freehold is.
Don’t bother with Google Earth: there’s either cloud over it or another tract of land has been copy and pasted over Freehold.
