While I know I'm new and have not yet earned the "forum member" status, I would like to add one bit of advice: Don't skimp on dessert. It could turn a mere satisfactory dining experience to an extraordinary one!
And if you're expecting a big crowd, have a variety of desserts to choose from. Peach cobbler, apple pie, pecan pie, a couple different cakes, and ice cream will appease even the pickiest eater.
