Many changes to whip employees into shape including:
- Laying off long time employees (some who worked there more than a decade) with no notice, severance, and offering them the chance to apply for a lower paying position.
- Eliminating the allowance/bonuses, which was previously promised as a permanent upgrade! Ha! Fooled em.
- "Labor activists contend Lowe's executives are treating the rank-and-file poorly while lining their own and investors' pockets through share repurchases and cash dividends." If paycuts need to be made they should be made they should be made to the rank and file and easily replaceable workers. Not executive bonuses which are richly deserved.
